About SpotHero

SpotHero sells parking in advance: hourly, monthly, airport and event spots in lots and garages across 400+ cities in the United States and Canada, a service running since 2011.

Drive-up rates are discounted at many locations, but the lower rate is generally guaranteed only with an online reservation made before arriving.

SpotHero is a reservation marketplace: drivers search a destination, compare nearby lots and garages by price and details, and receive a digital parking pass. Its Parking Guarantee promises a space at the booked price or a refund, although the company notes that it does not hold a specific spot for each booking and instead monitors partner inventory to avoid overbooking.

Use cases on the site range from games and events to airport trips, hotel stays, nights and weekends, and daily commuting. Bookings are for personal vehicles only, so RVs, vans and buses are excluded. On the other side of the market, SpotHero works with parking operators, airports, event partners and property managers, and it offers a business program and commuter benefits.

How to use a SpotHero promo code

  1. Promo codes go in at checkout inside the SpotHero app, which is also the only place the first-reservation offer of 10% off (up to $5) can be redeemed, rather than the website.
  2. Being logged in matters too, because any SpotHero credit on the account is applied automatically at that same checkout.
  3. The first-reservation code covers a single booking and excludes monthly reservations and SpotHero for Business, so an hourly, event or airport spot is where it earns its keep.
  4. Travelling for work through a Business Profile rules out spending credit on those bookings as well.

If your SpotHero code doesn't work

  • Minimum order: "$12 off Your First Reservation over $13" needs an order of at least $13; "$10 Off Your First $10.01+ Reservation Via The App" needs an order of at least $10.01.
