About Tonic Living
Tonic Living is a family-owned Toronto business selling designer drapery and upholstery fabric by the yard, along with handmade throw pillows, ottomans and home accents.
New email subscribers get 10% off a first order, but think before you cut: cut or washed fabric can't be returned.
Tonic Living was started by Janine and Jon, who registered the web address on the same day their second son was born. Janine began sewing at the dining room table with vintage fabric, and the business moved through two basements and an industrial unit before settling into a 15,000-square-foot facility in Toronto, where it has now operated for more than two decades. The company says it designs and manufactures its pieces in-house in Canada.
Fabrics are grouped for drapery and Roman shades, upholstery, outdoor use and high-performance needs, including linen blends, velvets and faux leather. Pillows come in set sizes such as 20x20, 22x22 and 24x24, lumbar and bolster shapes, and a Studio Collection with customizable sizing, and the store makes its own vegan faux-down inserts. A trade program serves designers.
