About U-Haul

U-Haul rents moving trucks, trailers and U-Box portable containers, runs self-storage, and sells moving supplies, hitches, propane and moving labor.

Truck rentals start at $19.95 and trailers at $14.95, but the standing offer worth planning around is tied to a one-way move: rent a one-way truck or trailer and your first month of storage at the destination is free.

U-Haul was founded in 1945, and its website is run by Web Team Associates, Inc. under license from U-Haul International, Inc. Storage choices include climate-controlled, indoor, drive-up outdoor and wine storage, plus space for RVs, cars and boats, in units from a 5x5 locker up to 10x30. Base rent stays fixed for the first 12 months under the 1-Year Price Lock.

U-Box containers can be shipped almost anywhere in the world, and each reservation comes with 24 furniture pads. Newer equipment includes the Toy Hauler trailer, built with drive-over fenders and the company's highest towing capacity. Other services cover the Moving Help Marketplace of local movers, Collegeboxes student moving, military moves, Patriot Truck Leasing and used truck sales. The U-Haul app lets renters pick up and return equipment at any hour.
