About Surfshark

Surfshark sells an online security subscription centred on a VPN, with antivirus, data-breach alerts, Alternative ID and data removal available as add-ons, and a single subscription covers unlimited devices.

In 2022 it merged with Nord Security, and Deloitte has since checked its no-logs policy, most recently in 2025.

Technical features include Nexus, which powers Dynamic MultiHop and an IP Rotator, dedicated IP addresses and Dausos, a VPN protocol introduced in 2026. The wider family includes the Saily eSIM data service, and an Emergency VPN program assists journalists, NGO staff and activists facing heavy internet censorship.

  1. Surfshark discounts are attached to a plan and a term rather than to a cart, and the headline offer belongs to 24-month plans, not monthly billing.
  2. Picking Starter, One or One+ comes first, then the term.
  3. Where the purchase happens also matters later: subscriptions bought through an app store are refunded by that store, not by Surfshark.
  4. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers only the first subscription purchase, and a renewed subscription or a non-refundable add-on cannot be refunded, so noting the renewal date after sign-up helps avoid an unwanted renewal.
  5. Auto-renewal can be switched off at any time from the account.
