About bakerdays
bakerdays bakes personalised cakes, cupcakes, brownies and helium balloons to order in Nottingham, then sends them across the UK with your own text or photos on top.
Prices are in GBP, and cakes start from £14.99. Because every cake is made just for you, a change of mind isn't grounds for a return, so check the spelling and the photo before you add a code.
Beyond birthday cakes sorted by age, from a first birthday up to a 100th, bakerdays designs for a long list of occasions: weddings, baby showers, retirements, passed driving tests, exam results and graduations, as well as Christmas, Diwali, Eid, Hanukkah and Halloween. Formats include small bento cakes, letterbox cakes, cake jars, tray bakes and photo cakes, and vegan options are offered too.
Businesses can order from a corporate range of branded cakes, cupcakes, biscuits, balloons and gift hampers. Orders can be placed as far as a year ahead, and the bakery says its treats keep for up to 7 days when stored somewhere cool and dry rather than in the fridge. Regular customers can join the bakerdays Reward Scheme, which turns spending into points.
How long does bakerdays shipping take?
Order by 2pm and DPD brings a UK mainland order the next day, between 8am and 6pm, for £4.99, Monday to Saturday.
What is bakerdays' return policy?
You have a 3-working-day window from delivery to report the problem, usually with photos. It isn't a change-of-mind return. (read Oct 9, 2026)
What payment methods does bakerdays accept?
Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal Pay in 3 and Clearpay Pay in 4 are offered, but American Express and Visa Electron aren't taken.
More about shopping at bakerdays
- Highlands and offshore
- These addresses get a 2-day DPD service instead, and a timed or Saturday slot costs extra on top.
- Refund or resend
- bakerdays either re-sends the order or refunds all or part of it, never both. A misspelt message or low-resolution photo you supplied gets nothing back. (read Oct 9, 2026)
- Reward points
- The bakerdays Reward Scheme gives 1 point for every £1 spent, worth up to £0.15 per £1 as your saved balance grows.
- Book early
- A birthday cake can be ordered up to 1 year before its delivery date, so a known date never has to be a rush order.
- Ireland
- Cakes heading to Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland may carry a customs charge, and the buyer pays it.
- Keeping it fresh
- Cakes and treats last up to 7 days somewhere cool and dry, and the fridge isn't the right spot for them.

How to use a bakerdays coupon
- bakerdays calls it a voucher code, and it has to be on the order before you pay.
- Its terms don't name the box or the checkout step, so look for the field before you reach payment.
- A code you forget can't be refunded afterwards.
- You also have to pick one saving per order: reward points can't be spent on an order that already carries a discount code.
- If your points are worth more than the code, leave the code off and press the 'use points' button on the final basket summary instead.
More ways to save at bakerdays
- The Reward Scheme is the steady saving here.
- Points start after your first order, and they grow in value the more you save, up to £0.15 for every £1.
- The same page mentions a refer-a-friend option, though it doesn't say what the reward is.
- Ordering by 2pm keeps you on the £4.99 next-day DPD rate, while a timed or Saturday slot adds to the bill.
- PayPal Pay in 3 and Clearpay Pay in 4 spread the cost of a big celebration cake without lowering it.
bakerdays questions, answered
Can a bakerdays cake go back after a change of mind?
Change-of-mind returns aren't part of the terms, because the cakes are perishable and made to order. The return window only covers faulty, damaged or wrong items, and you have 3 working days from delivery to report one.
What happens when a bakerdays order arrives damaged?
Report it within 3 working days of delivery, usually with photos, and bakerdays re-sends the order or refunds all or part of it. If it wants the item back, it supplies a freepost prepaid label or a courier collection.
Do reward points and a discount code work on one bakerdays order?
Reward points can't be used on an order that already has a discount code. Work out which saves more, and if points win, redeem them at the basket summary.
How late can a bakerdays cake be ordered for next-day delivery?
Orders placed by 2pm go out on DPD's next-day service to the UK mainland for £4.99, arriving between 8am and 6pm. Highlands and offshore addresses get a 2-day service.
Does bakerdays deliver outside the UK?
Its delivery page lists UK areas, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland, and asks you to contact customer service about other countries. Deliveries to Ireland may carry customs charges.
Can a bakerdays order be changed after it's placed?
Changes and cancellations go through the phone line. Once an order reaches 'Processed' or 'Despatched', it can't be changed.
