About Disk Drill

Disk Drill is CleverFiles' data recovery software for Mac and Windows, pulling lost files and partitions back from drives, phones, memory cards and RAID.

Before paying, run the free Disk Drill Basic: it previews every recovery method and recovers up to 100 MB at no cost, so you'll see whether PRO can reach your files.

CleverFiles, the company behind Disk Drill, dates its first release to 2009 and states its mission as protecting personal data with affordable tools for everyday technical problems. Its listed areas of expertise include do-it-yourself recovery, disk space management, data shredding, file systems and encryption, and backup.

The current Disk Drill 6 adds advanced camera recovery, byte-to-byte backups, a HEX view for inspecting disks and partitions, and recovery of lost ReFS partitions. Besides computers and phones, the app can scan sources such as GoPro cameras, Kindles, disk images and Time Machine backups. Editions run from the free Basic version to PRO, Expert and Enterprise, the apps and websites are offered in 16 languages, and the support team works across European and US Eastern time zones.
