About Deliveroo

Deliveroo brings restaurant takeaways, groceries, flowers and other shop items from local partners to your door by rider, and it has run across the UK since its London launch in 2013.

The fee line matters more than any code here: up to four charges can sit on one order, and a Deliveroo Plus membership is what clears the delivery fee.

Deliveroo runs a delivery marketplace that links people in a neighborhood with nearby merchants and riders. By its own account, the founder was the company's first rider and spent the business's opening year making deliveries full time. It started with restaurant meals and, in 2018, added on-demand grocery delivery built on the same logistics technology, later bringing in national supermarkets and local pharmacies, pet supply stores and flower shops.

Beyond orders from existing restaurants, Deliveroo runs Editions, delivery-only kitchens that let restaurants reach new areas without opening a high-street site, and Hop, its own network of delivery-only grocery sites. The company also offers Deliveroo for Work for team meals and staff allowances, a Deliveroo Students program and gift cards for food orders. It says it now operates in seven countries.

How to use a Deliveroo discount code

  1. Many Deliveroo deals show up as banners on partner listings rather than as codes: up to 25% off meal deals at participating restaurants, buy one get one free at selected kitchens, and 50% off a weekly shop.
  2. Pick from those listings first, then add any code you hold before you pay.
  3. Watch the small order fee, which kicks in below a restaurant's minimum spend and can swallow a modest discount.
  4. Every fee appears before checkout, so compare the final total with and without Plus.
  5. A Plus Gold member skips the delivery fee once a restaurant basket passes £10, and on frequent orders that can outweigh a one-off code.

If your Deliveroo code doesn't work

  • Minimum order: "Save £7 on 4 orders when you spend over £30 with this" needs an order of at least £30; "£15 off First App Orders Over £20" needs an order of at least £20.
