About Halo Collar
Halo Collar makes GPS dog collars, the Halo Collar 5 and 4, that draw wireless virtual fences and track your dog's location, designed with Cesar Millan.
The rule that shapes every purchase: the collar needs a paid Pack Membership plan from $9.99 a month, so a code on the hardware covers only part of the cost.
Halo Collar was co-founded by brothers Ken and Michael Ehrman, who spent their careers building industrial Internet of Things tracking systems at I.D. Systems before turning to dogs. Ken started the project in 2017 after a relative's dog got past an underground wire fence and was struck by a car, and Cesar Millan joined as a founding partner to shape the training side.
The current Halo Collar 5 is aimed at city, suburban, rural and traveling dogs alike. Halo lists GPS accuracy within two feet, up to 48 hours of battery from a 1-hour charge, an IP67 rating, and fences saved on the collar so they work without Wi-Fi or a cell signal. Owners choose sound, vibration or static feedback. Collars carry a 12-month warranty, and the store also sells beacons and accessories.
