About Helly Hansen
Helly Hansen has made outdoor clothing since 1877: ski, snowboard, sailing and hiking jackets, midlayers, base layers, pants and footwear for men, women and kids.
Its sign-up offer is 15% off for joining the email list, and it only applies to your first full-price purchase.
Helly Hansen builds much of its range around its own fabric and insulation technologies, among them Helly Tech, Lifa, H2Flow, Lifaloft and Lifa Infinity Pro. Beyond jackets and layers, the catalog covers bags such as duffels, slings and backpacks, ski accessories, and wet suits and other sailing gear, plus a rainwear guide to help with choosing a shell. Recent collections include Helly Puff, a line of down jackets, parkas and boots offered in a choice of colors and lengths.
Children's clothing is split into Kids, for ages 1-8, and Juniors, for ages 9-16. The company also runs HH Workwear and a Pro Store for professionals, which requires an application, and its site has sections on heritage, sustainability and its offices.
When shoppers look for Helly Hansen coupons
Helly Hansen coupon searches peak in December, about 2.5× a typical month, and dip lowest in June.

What is Helly Hansen's return policy?
30 days for unused items with tags, using a prepaid UPS label. A $6 processing fee comes off each return.

How to use a Helly Hansen promo code
- Join the email list before you buy, then use the 15% code on full-price gear only, since it doesn't cover sale items.
- Codes go in at checkout on hellyhansen.com.
- Check your size carefully, because a refund costs you the $6 processing fee while an exchange is free.
- Members of Helly Hansen's Pro and discount programs pay shipping on their orders, so the $99 free-shipping line doesn't help them.
- Review the cart before you submit: you have just 15 minutes to cancel.
More ways to save at Helly Hansen
- The email sign-up is the one standing discount on the site, so time it for a full-price jacket rather than a small accessory.
- Pushing a cart past $99 saves the $10 FedEx charge.
- If something might not fit, an exchange avoids the $6 return fee.
- Warranty claims for manufacturing defects carry no processing fee, which is worth knowing on a shell you'll wear for years.
