About Ocado
Ocado is a UK online supermarket delivering groceries, fresh food, household, baby and pet products, with M&S food and the Ocado Own Range on its shelves.
The rule that matters most is the first-shop deal: 25% off the food in a first order of £60 or more, capped at £20, and only if you're opted in to Ocado marketing emails.
Ocado's grocery arm is operated by Ocado Retail Limited, a company registered in England and Wales whose registered office is in Hatfield. It presents itself as the only place to buy M&S Food online, and alongside big brands it stocks smaller independent producers, world foods, dietary and lifestyle ranges, and beer, wine and spirits.
Under the Ocado Price Promise, the store compares a like-for-like basket with tesco.com across more than 10,000 products, Clubcard prices included. Fresh items carry a guaranteed shelf life, such as 4 days on a cucumber, and Ocado says it sends next-to-no substitutions. The site also hosts recipe collections and the OcadoLife magazine.

How to use a Ocado discount code
- The first-shop code goes in at checkout, and Ocado only honours it on a first order of £60 or more.
- Opt in to Ocado marketing emails before you pay, or the 25% won't come off.
- The discount covers food only, so alcohol, pet food, baby milk and formula and the delivery charge stay at full price, and Christmas restrictions apply.
- Using that voucher also starts a three-month free Smart Pass, which ends by itself unless you confirm you want to keep it.
- Standard delivery charges weren't listed on the page read, so check the price of your chosen slot before you confirm the order.
If your Ocado code doesn't work
- Minimum order: "25% Off First £60+ Orders" needs an order of at least £60; "25% Off Your First Shop" needs an order of at least £60.
- Exclusions: The first-shop 25% discount doesn't cover delivery, tobacco, alcohol, stamps, baby milk and formula, pet food, gift vouchers or food donations, and you must be opted in to Ocado marketing emails.
- New customers only: "25% off your first food order + 3 months free delivery" is for a first order.
- End date: "Get 30% Discount on Your Order" ends Nov 18, 2026; "30% Discount on Your Purchase" ends Nov 16, 2026.
- Where to enter it: Enter the code at checkout.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at Ocado
- Smart Pass suits regular Ocado shoppers: no delivery charges, Rewards, priority Christmas slots and members-only sales.
- The Ocado Price Promise matches a like-for-like shop against tesCo.com on over 10,000 products, and it counts Clubcard prices too.
- The Half Price Home & Clothing Sale was running in October 2026, which helps if the basket holds more than food.
- Ocado's returns terms weren't on the pages read, so its help pages are the place to go if something in a delivery isn't right.
