About Printful

Printful prints your designs on hundreds of custom products, from apparel and hats to bags and home goods, then ships each order to you or to your store's customers.

Change-of-mind returns aren't accepted, so getting the order right matters most. After that, the 10% student deal or the bulk discount at 25 items trims the cost.

Printful, Inc. has run its print-on-demand service since 2013 and lists its address in Charlotte, North Carolina. The model suits sellers who don't want to hold stock: a shop on another platform can be connected to Printful, which then produces and sends each item only after a customer orders it. Larger brands can ask for enterprise support.

For people without design skills, Printful offers an online design maker and a way to hire an expert designer. It also publishes a blog and the Printful Academy, with guides on starting a clothing line or a print-on-demand business, and it runs affiliate and referral programs for people who send it new customers.

When shoppers look for Printful coupons

Printful coupon searches peak in January, about 1.3× a typical month, and dip lowest in April.

US Google searches, Oct 2025 to Sep 2026. Search interest, not sales.

How long does Printful shipping take?

Orders take 2-5 business days to produce, then flat-rate standard shipping to the US and Canada takes 3-4 business days, or 1-3 by express.

What is Printful's return policy?

Misprinted, damaged or defective items are covered if you report them within 30 days of receipt; change-of-mind orders get no refund.

Does Printful have a student discount?

Yes. A .edu or European university email unlocks 10% off all custom products plus free shipping, through Printful's own form.

More about shopping at Printful

Rates
Shipping depends on product category, so one T-shirt to the US costs $3.99, and items from different fulfillment locations ship separately.
Referrals
A friend gets $5 off a first order through your link, and you get a $5 coupon for a manual order.
Bulk orders
Printful applies a discount to orders of 25 or more items, which helps when you order merch in quantity.
Worldwide
Printful ships from several fulfillment locations, except restricted places such as Russia, Cuba and Iran, and customs fees can apply across regions.

How to use a Printful discount code

  1. Printful puts its code box at the very end of checkout.
  2. Look for the Discount code number field at the bottom of the Review Order page, the last step before you place the order.
  3. The student offer comes as single-use coupons for orders you place yourself, so it doesn't fit orders your store's customers place.
  4. The $5 coupon you earn from a referral is also tied to a manual order.
  5. Size exchanges are at the seller's expense, so confirm sizing before you enter any code.
  6. Sealed hygiene goods such as face masks can't come back either, which makes a careful review of that last page worth the extra minute.

If your Printful code doesn't work

  • Minimum order: "Free Shipping on $500+ Orders" needs an order of at least $500; "Enjoy Huge Savings on Orders $150+: up to 10% off" needs an order of at least $150.
  • New customers only: "Don’t Miss This: 15% off First Order" is for a first order.
  • Where to enter it: Enter the code in the Discount code number field at the bottom of the Review Order page, the last checkout step.

More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.

More ways to save at Printful

  • Ordering 25 or more items qualifies for Printful's bulk discount.
  • Students get 10% off plus free shipping, which covers the per-item rates that otherwise vary by product category.
  • Keeping products from one fulfillment location avoids separate shipments at extra coSt. Digital gift cards arrive by email, ready for you to forward or print.

Printful questions, answered

Can you return a Printful order you changed your mind about?

Printful doesn't refund change-of-mind orders. It covers misprinted, damaged or defective items reported within 30 days of receipt.

How long does Printful take to deliver?

Production takes 2-5 business days, and standard shipping to the US and Canada adds 3-4 business days. Printful treats that total as an estimate, not a guarantee.

How does the Printful referral program work?

Your friend gets $5 off a first order through your referral link. You receive a $5 coupon to use on a manual order.

Does Printful offer bulk pricing?

Orders of 25 or more items qualify for a bulk discount at Printful.

Does Printful ship internationally?

Printful ships worldwide from several fulfillment locations, with restricted destinations such as Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Syria and North Korea excluded. Customs fees can apply when an order ships from another region.
