About River Island

River Island dresses women, men, girls and boys in clothes, shoes, bags and accessories, sold across the UK online and in its own shops.

Before you hunt for a discount code, know the house rule: promotions can't be combined, and codes usually skip sale lines, charity items and third-party brands.

River Island's women's range runs from blazers, knitwear and co-ord sets to swimwear, loungewear and occasion dresses, with Plus and Petite fits, a modest clothing edit and wide-fit shoes. Menswear comes in several cuts, including muscle, skinny, slim, regular and oversized, and covers suits, quarter-zips, multipack underwear and aftershave.

The label also releases tie-in collections such as RI x Olivia Attwood, RI x Karen Mabon, RI x Amy Jackson Westwick and RI x Twisted Tailor. Kidswear is sorted by age, from baby sizes up to 14-year-olds, and the site runs its own editorial section, The Feed, next to a denim hub. Shoppers can also hand in old clothes for recycling through its Takeback Scheme.

Does River Island offer free shipping?

Yes. Full-price UK orders over £65 get free standard delivery, but sale and markdown pieces don't count toward that total.

How long does River Island shipping take?

Order by 7pm on weekdays or 5pm at weekends for next-day. Evri and InPost lockers cost £4, or £5 next day, and nothing over £15.

What is River Island's return policy?

You get 28 days. Online orders go back free at UK stores, while postal returns lose £2.95 from the refund.

What payment methods does River Island accept?

Klarna splits a basket into 3 interest-free payments over 60 days for UK residents 18 and over; Clearpay, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay also work.

How to use a River Island discount code

  1. Most new shoppers start with River Island's emailed welcome code.
  2. Sign up for emails, then use the code on your first shop, on full-price items and within a month of opting in.
  3. Only one promotion works per order, so a code can't sit on top of a multibuy or a sale price.

  • Multibuys on selected lines apply at checkout without a code, such as men's underwear sets at 15% off for two or 20% off for three.
