About Specscart
Specscart is a UK eyewear shop making prescription glasses and sunglasses in Britain, with 2000+ styles online and three stores in Manchester.
Delivery to any UK address costs nothing, so the saving comes from offers such as 10% off a first order over £49.99, with prices in pounds.
Specscart calls itself a fast-growing British eyewear startup and lists a Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe feature among its press mentions. Glasses ordered online are made at its Bury headquarters, and the range runs from prescription frames and sunglasses to sports eyewear, lenses and accessories.
Shoppers who can't decide can borrow up to four frames at home for seven days before buying, and the site also advertises a free eye test. Online prescription orders require a current written prescription from a qualified practitioner, dated within the last 24 months, or within 12 months for anyone aged 70 or over. NHS vouchers are accepted only in Specscart's own stores, not on the website, and its e-gift cards carry no expiry date.
Does Specscart offer free shipping?
Yes. Royal Mail carries every UK order free, usually arriving within 24 business hours of dispatch, though weekends and bank holidays can add delays.
What is Specscart's return policy?
Glasses have 30 days with a free UK returns label, but scratched, bent, twisted or visibly worn frames get no refund or exchange.
What payment methods does Specscart accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay sit alongside PayPal Pay in 3, Klarna and Clearpay for splitting the bill. (read Oct 8, 2026)
More about shopping at Specscart
- Exchanges
- One exchange is allowed, for an item of equal or higher value, and any accessory left out of a return has its value deducted.
- Home trial
- Up to four frames can be tried at home free for seven days; frames kept past that may be charged. (read Oct 8, 2026)
- Prescriptions
- You confirm a valid written prescription from a qualified professional, issued within 24 months, or 12 months if you're 70 or over. (read Oct 8, 2026)
- Abroad
- Shipping to all countries is free and typically takes 7-14 business days, with customs, import duties and return postage paid by you.
- Warranty

How to use a Specscart coupon code
- The first-order code needs a basket over £49.99 before it takes 10% off, and it applies to your first Specscart order only.
- A separate banner offer cuts £10 off frames worth £59 and above.
- Settle on frames before you check out, because cancelling part of an order later strips any promotion applied to it.
- NHS vouchers aren't accepted online, only in Specscart's stores, so a voucher purchase happens at the counter.
- Paying with a Specscart e-gift card is fine, but any refund on that order goes back onto the card, not to your bank.
If your Specscart code doesn't work
- Minimum order: "10% off your first order over £49.99" needs an order of at least £49.99.
- New customers only: "10% off your first order over £49.99" is for a first order.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at Specscart
- The free home trial is the cheapest guard against a wrong pick: up to four frames sit with you for seven days before you buy.
- Return them on time, since frames kept longer may be charged.
- E-gift cards come in any amount with a delivery date you choose, and they never expire.
- If you have an NHS voucher, plan to use it in one of the stores rather than online.
Specscart questions, answered
Does Specscart charge for shipping?
Every order to a UK address ships free, and orders to all other countries ship free too, typically in 7-14 business days. Outside the UK, customs, import duties and return postage are yours to pay.
Can you use an NHS voucher at Specscart?
NHS vouchers are accepted only in Specscart's stores, not on the website.
Can Specscart glasses be sent back if they don't suit you?
A 30-day window applies, with a longer one for varifocals and a free label for UK customers. Frames that come back scratched, bent, twisted or visibly worn aren't refunded or exchanged.
Can you try Specscart frames before buying?
The free home trial lets you keep up to four frames for seven days. Frames that aren't returned in time may be charged.
Can a Specscart order be split into instalments?
Klarna, Clearpay and PayPal Pay in 3 each spread the cost at checkout.
How recent does a prescription need to be for Specscart?
It must be a valid written prescription from a qualified professional, issued within the last 24 months, or 12 months if you're 70 or over.
