About Tecovas
Tecovas makes Western wear in Austin, Texas: cowboy boots, work boots, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids, with heritage boots handmade in León, Mexico.
Its help center is blunt about codes: one not issued directly to you by Tecovas, or shared by an unaffiliated company, won't be honored at checkout.
Paul Hedrick started Tecovas in 2015, hauling a trunk of boots to farmers' markets and local fairs before building a team on Austin's eastside, where the products are still designed. The company says each boot takes over 200 hand steps, with a three-layer insole around the shank. It now runs more than 50 stores nationwide, starting with a flagship on South Congress, and employs more than 1400 people.
Beyond core boot styles such as ropers, ranch, zip and horseman boots, the range covers denim, performance wear, bags, belts and cowboy hats, grouped into lines like Crown of the West and Everyday Western. Collaborations include Tecovas x Mossy Oak, KREWE, Stallion and Chili's. A boot restoration and resoling service, a resale section and a 12-month limited warranty round out the offer.
Past Tecovas sales
- Cyber Week sale (20% off, no code needed) Usually: Late November to early December (2025: Nov 26 to Dec 2) Announced on Tecovas' site,
When shoppers look for Tecovas coupons
Tecovas coupon searches peak in December, about 2× a typical month, and dip lowest in June.
Does Tecovas offer free shipping?
Yes. Some orders over $100 ship free by ground, but not to Alaska or Hawaii addresses.
How long does Tecovas shipping take?
Most orders leave 3-4 business days after you order, then ground takes 2-6 business days across most of the US.
What is Tecovas' return policy?
You get 30 days from receipt for free returns and exchanges on unworn, unwashed items with original tags and packaging.
Does Tecovas have student and military discounts?
Yes. Both get 10% off through ID.me, but it can't be combined with other promotions.

How to use a Tecovas discount code
- Tecovas runs on Shopify, so the discount box is on the checkout page's order summary.
- The code needs to come from Tecovas itself: the help center says codes shared by unaffiliated companies aren't honored.
- ID.me verification comes first for the 10% student or military discount, and that discount won't combine with other promotions.
- Referral rewards don't stack with other offers either.
- No discount code works on a gift card.
- If you placed an order before adding a code, you have 60 minutes to cancel it.
If your Tecovas code doesn't work
- Minimum order: "10% off Your Order of $250 or More + Free Shipping" needs an order of at least $250; "10% off $250+ Purchase" needs an order of at least $250.
- Exclusions: Codes not issued directly by Tecovas to the shopper, or shared by an unaffiliated company, are not honored; discount codes can't be used on gift cards.
- Combining offers: Student and military discounts can't be combined with other promotions or offers; referral rewards can't be combined with other offers either.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at Tecovas
- The referral program pays the most per order: $50 off for a friend and $50 for you, as long as each order reaches $250.
- Students and service members save 10% after verifying with ID.me.
- In 2025, the Cyber Week sale ran Nov 26 to Dec 2 at 20% off with no code needed; dates for this year weren't printed when the site was read.
- Shop Pay Installments can split the cost of a pair of boots.
Tecovas questions, answered
Why didn't your Tecovas discount code work?
Tecovas only honors codes issued directly to you by Tecovas. Codes shared by unaffiliated companies are rejected at checkout, and no code applies to gift cards.
Does Tecovas have a military discount?
Military shoppers get 10% off after verifying with ID.me, and students get the same rate. It can't be combined with other promotions.
Does Tecovas ship outside the US?
Shipping covers all 50 states and DC only, and Tecovas says it doesn't ship outside the USA yet.
How does the Tecovas referral program work?
Your friend gets $50 off and you get $50 when they buy. Each side needs a $250+ order to use the reward.
