About The Sak
The Sak makes crochet, woven, leather and suede handbags, along with wallets, clogs and accessories, and has done so since 1989 as a Certified B Corp.
Most of its standing discounts land at 20% off, through email and SMS sign-up or ID.me verification, but codes cover full-price items only, one per order, unless an offer states otherwise.
The Sak traces its start to two friends who quit corporate careers to travel and came back from Bali with a handwoven bag and the idea for a company. Signature crochet remains central, alongside named lines such as the Los Feliz totes and hobos, the Tess, Juniper and Melrose bags, and the Bolinas and Bolo clogs.
According to its 2025 Impact Report, the brand has reached 100% sustainable materials. A resale program called ReSak lets customers buy and sell pre-loved pieces, and the Sakroots line offers vegan bags in prints that support Oceana.
When shoppers look for The Sak coupons
The Sak coupon searches peak in April, about 1.4× a typical month, and dip lowest in November.
Does The Sak offer free shipping?
Yes. Standard delivery costs nothing on U.S. orders and arrives in 5-10 business days, though PO boxes, Alaska, Hawaii and 4ocean products are left out.
How long does The Sak shipping take?
Premium Ground takes 4-7 business days and Expedited 2-4; weekday orders placed by 10:00 AM EST ship the same day.
What is The Sak's return policy?
Eligible U.S. orders have 30 days from the ship date and a free prepaid label; final sale and international orders cannot come back.
Does The Sak have student and military discounts?
Yes. Students, teachers, military, first responders, nurses, medical providers and government and hospital employees get 20% off after ID.me verification.
Does The Sak price match?
When the identical style and SKU sells for less elsewhere within 30 days of purchase, a picture of the ad sent to customer service gets the difference refunded.
What payment methods does The Sak accept?
Major cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Klarna, Shop Pay and Shop Pay Installments through Affirm are accepted.

How to use a The Sak promo code
- On The Sak's checkout page, the code goes in the box labeled "Gift card or discount code", followed by Apply.
- The new-customer 20% code only arrives after the email and SMS sign-up, so that step has to happen before the order is placed.
- Each code is one-time use, covers full-price items only unless the offer says otherwise, and cannot pair with another offer, with one stated exception: a friend's referral $20 off stacks with the welcome offer.
- Gift cards and donations never count toward a code.
- ID.me discounts for students, teachers, military and first responders follow their own verification route.
- Orders can be edited or cancelled only within one hour of placing them.
If your The Sak code doesn't work
- Minimum order: "Free Premium Ground shipping on orders of $150+" needs an order of at least $150.
- Exclusions: Codes exclude gift cards and donations and are one-time use.
- One code per order: Unless an offer says otherwise, promo codes apply to full-price items only, one code per order, and cannot be combined with other offers.
- New customers only: "Save 15% on Your First Order" is for a first order.
- Where to enter it: At checkout, enter the code in the box labeled "Gift card or discount code" and click Apply.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at The Sak
- The Sak Rewards is free to join and pays back steadily: 1-3 points per $1 by tier, with 100 points turning into $10 off, plus birthday rewards, while upper tiers add free returns and welcome gifts.
- Sharing a referral link hands a friend $20 off a $75+ first order and credits the referrer 200 points.
- Pre-orders run through Purple Dot, which ships the item or refunds the money, and can be cancelled any time before shipping.
- A defective bag within one year of purchase can still come back for store credit after the 30-day window.
The Sak questions, answered
What does The Sak give new customers on a first order?
New customers who sign up for email and SMS receive a one-time 20% off code after sign-up. That code excludes gift cards and donations.
Where can a 20% off code for The Sak be found?
Two routes lead to 20% off: the email and SMS sign-up for new customers, and ID.me verification for students, teachers, military, nurses and first responders.
Can two The Sak codes be combined?
One code per order is the rule, and promo codes apply to full-price items only unless an offer says otherwise. The referral $20 off is the stated exception, stackable with the welcome offer.
How do The Sak Rewards points work?
Members earn 1-3 points per $1 depending on their yearly spend tier, and 100 points equal $10 off. Birthday rewards come with membership, and upper tiers add free returns and welcome gifts.
Does The Sak match a lower price?
A lower price on the identical style and SKU, found within 30 days of purchase at a seller with it in stock, is matched once a picture of the ad goes to customer service; the difference is refunded.
