About The Vermont Country Store
The Vermont Country Store is a family catalog business, founded in 1946, that sells practical and hard-to-find goods: sleepwear, curtains, bedding, kitchen and home items, personal care, food and candy.
Standard shipping is priced by order value, from $7.95 up to $19.95, so the site's free standard shipping banner at $75 can save more than a small code on a mid-size order.
The Vermont Country Store started when Vrest and Mildred Orton sent an initial catalog to 1,000 names drawn from the couple's holiday card list. Vrest held that every product had to be useful and make sense, a rule the family says it still follows today.
Alongside the catalog and website, the company runs two general stores in Weston and Rockingham, Vermont, plus restaurants including Mildred's Table and Mildred's Dairy Bar. The range covers Country Curtains, slippers, robes, dinnerware, rugs, towels, classic toys and games, pure Vermont maple syrup, chocolates, cookies and seasonal Halloween and Christmas goods. Shoppers can request a printed catalog, browse an e-catalog, suggest a product, and read a Customer Bill of Rights that sets out its service promises.

How to use a The Vermont Country Store coupon
- Before you add a code, look at where your order total lands on the shipping scale.
- Free standard shipping starts at $75 per the site banner, and below that the shipping charge climbs with the order value.
- Each ship-to address is billed for shipping on its own, so a gift order split across several homes pays several shipping charges that a code may not touch.
- Express and Overnight need a street address, not a PO box.
- The pages read don't say whether a code combines with the free shipping banner, so check the order summary before you pay.
More ways to save at The Vermont Country Store
- If your cart sits just under $75, adding a small item you need anyway can cost less than the standard shipping charge.
- Keep gifts going to one address where you can, because every extra address adds its own charge.
- If you're unsure about a piece of sleepwear or a kitchen item, the satisfaction guarantee lets you exchange it, but a refund by mail loses $7.95 to the return label.
- A gift card from the footer link is an easy present for someone who loves the catalog.
