Green Chef says it was the first meal kit company certified organic by CCOF, and it says its dinners avoid more than 100 banned ingredients. Each week brings 15+ new recipes on a menu of 80+ items across 8 plans, including Gluten-Free, Carb Smart, Quick & Easy and a Gut & Brain Health plan. Proteins can be swapped or doubled, to as much as 50 grams of protein a serving, and tofu or tempeh can be added to vegetarian meals.
The Green Market adds 23+ weekly extras such as Ready-to-Blend smoothies, egg bites and superfood granola. Subscribers and non-customers alike can book free one-on-one sessions with a registered dietitian. On sustainability, Green Chef reports using 100% renewable electricity at its production sites and offices and offsetting its delivery emissions. The kitchens that prepare the meals also process common allergens such as milk, eggs, soy, wheat and nuts.
