About Macpac
Macpac is a New Zealand outdoor brand, founded in Christchurch in 1973, selling its own jackets, thermals, packs, tents and sleeping gear alongside other brands' camping, hiking, travel and snow equipment through its Australian webstore.
The membership is the main lever: Macpac Club is free to join and takes 20% off full-priced Macpac items.
Macpac dresses the whole family, with clothing for women, men and kids plus a baby range of onesies, outerwear and thermals. Its equipment side runs from tents and sleeping bags to camp kitchens, coolers, kayaks and paddle boards, and its own technical clothing includes the Alpine Series and pieces made from Fairtrade organic cotton.
Instead of a fixed warranty term, Macpac covers faults for the expected life of the material, as judged by its Repairs team, which can also fix accidental damage for a fee. Businesses and schools can buy at special bulk pricing, and the brand runs a Fund for Good and partners with the NZ Paralympic Team and GODZONE.
Past Macpac sales
- Mid-Season Sale Usually: October (extra 10% off ran 16-21 October 2026) Announced on Macpac's site,

Does Macpac offer free shipping?
Yes. Online orders over A$100 after discounts ship free; under that, delivery costs A$12, and bulky items add A$20.
How long does Macpac shipping take?
Most metro areas get parcels in 2-4 business days, rural areas up to 2 days longer, and P.O. boxes are accepted.
What is Macpac's return policy?
Unworn, unused gear with tags, packaging and proof of purchase can go back within 60 days for refund, credit or exchange.
Does Macpac price match?
Macpac matches an identical in-stock product sold cheaper by an Australian competitor with an ABN, comparing final prices with GST and delivery.
What payment methods does Macpac accept?
Cards, PayPal, Macpac gift cards and Afterpay, which splits a purchase into four fortnightly payments up to A$4,000.
More about shopping at Macpac

How to use a Macpac discount code
- Join Macpac Club before you check out, because the 20% off full-priced Macpac gear, 10% off full-priced footwear and member-only promotion discounts all come with membership.
- Macpac promotions can't be used with any other promotion or offer, and when two discounts overlap, the bigger one applies.
- Clearance, Fund for Good products, delivery, repairs and gift cards usually sit outside promotions.
- The A$100 free-delivery line counts after discounts, so a member price can tip a jacket order under it.
- A price match on an online order goes through by phone only, and it doesn't cover clearance or marketplace sellers.
If your Macpac code doesn't work
- Minimum order: "Earn $20 Voucher on $120+ Orders of Store Apparel & Equipment for Members" needs an order of at least $120.
- Exclusions: Promotions usually exclude clearance, Fund for Good products, delivery, repairs and gift cards.
- Combining offers: Promotions can't be used with any other promotion or offer; where a bigger concurrent discount exists, the bigger one applies.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
