About Kathmandu
Kathmandu is an Australian outdoor store selling puffers, rainwear, merino and fleece, plus footwear, packs, tents, sleeping bags and travel gear for women, men and kids.
Prices are in AUD and delivery covers Australia only. Saving there hinges on Out There Rewards, since members see member pricing and, at the right level, free standard delivery.
Kathmandu is B Corp certified, and its own range sits next to gear from specialist outdoor brands, so the store mixes house-made clothing with third-party footwear, stoves and freeze-dried trail food. Collections are arranged by activity, with hiking, camping, travel and snow sports sections, plus sun protection clothing and the XT Series hiking collection.
Travelers will find luggage and carry-ons, packing cells, adaptors and power banks, while families can shop child carriers and kids' outerwear. The site publishes advice articles on choosing a tent or sleeping bag, avoiding blisters and reproofing waterproof jackets, and a jacket finder helps narrow down outerwear. Kathmandu also runs physical stores alongside the online shop and sells e-Gift Cards.

- Express delivery costs A$20 for everyone and takes 1-2 business days, and Kathmandu won't deliver to freight forwarders.
- Refunds
- Money goes back to the original payment method or onto a credit voucher, but return postage is yours and original delivery isn't refunded.
- Sale items
- Full price, sale and clearance buys can all come back, though seconds and underwear can't, and online orders can't be exchanged by post.
- Welcome code
- First-time email subscribers get a 10% off welcome code to use on a Kathmandu order.
- Out There Rewards
- Membership is free for Australian and New Zealand residents aged 16+, earning 1 point per A$1 across four levels.

How to use a Kathmandu discount code
- Subscribe to Kathmandu's emails before you shop, because the 10% welcome code goes to first-time subscribers.
- Sign in to Out There Rewards too.
- Member pricing on selected styles and free standard delivery only show for signed-in members, and from 2 November 2026 that free delivery needs Level 2 or Level 3.
- The discount box sits in the order summary on the checkout page.
- Kathmandu's pages don't say whether the welcome code combines with Camp Deals markdowns or member pricing, so compare the total with and without it before you pay.
