About Shutterfly

Shutterfly makes personalized photo products: photo books, cards and stationery, prints, wall art, calendars, gifts, and wedding and business items, all printed in the USA.

Know the shipping rule before you design anything: free shipping on orders of $99 or more needs a promo code, while new customers get free shipping with no minimum.

Shutterfly's photo book line spans everyday and travel books, layflat and flush mount albums, custom board books for children and yearbooks, with bulk ordering for larger runs. Anyone short on time can hand a photo book to its free 24-hour designer service, and an AI assistant named Paige can track orders or suggest products.

The cards side includes holiday cards for many traditions, from Diwali and Hanukkah to Kwanzaa, along with announcements, invitations and personal stationery, and Shutterfly offers addressing and mailing services. Couples can request free wedding invitation samples before ordering. Other personalized goods range from ornaments, blankets and puzzles to phone cases and tote bags, and same-day print pickup is available for photo prints. Tiny Prints cards are sold through the site as well.

How to use a Shutterfly promo code

  1. Shutterfly asks for the promo code during checkout, after you choose a shipping method, and offers that apply automatically show up in the order summary.
  2. Pick shipping first, then enter the code and read the summary line before paying.
  3. Sale terms block a code on yearbooks, gift cards, cards sent by the mailing service, in-store pickup orders and past purchases, and promotions can't sit on top of select offers or credits.
  4. Shutterfly may cancel an order placed on a promo or pricing error, so a price that looks wrong may not hold.

If your Shutterfly code doesn't work

  • Minimum order: "Free shipping on orders $99+ with code SHIP99" needs an order of at least $99; "40% Off $40+ Orders" needs an order of at least $40.
  • Exclusions: Sale terms exclude prepaid or annual savings plans, video plans, yearbooks, gift cards, cards sent by mailing service, designer review services, in-store pickup orders and past purchases.
  • Combining offers: Promotions cannot be combined with select offers or credits.
  • New customers only: "44% Off Orders for New Customers" is for a first order.
  • End date: "50% Off" ends Jan 1, 2027; "Get 50% Off Your Order" ends Nov 18, 2026.

More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.

More ways to save at Shutterfly

  • Shutterfly's sales can run deep: up to 50% off everything and 50% off all cards ran in early October, ending Oct 11, 2026.
  • Free shipping comes in several forms through the year, such as free economy shipping over a minimum, free shipping on categories like prints, or limited-time upgrades, each with an end date.
  • For photo books, the free 24-hour designer service saves hours of layout work at no coSt.
