About Knit Picks
Knit Picks sells knitting and crochet supplies: its own yarn lines developed directly with mills, other yarn brands, needles, hooks, kits, tools, books and thousands of free and paid patterns.
The detail that trips up codes here is the exclusion list, which covers clearance, MAP-priced items and downloads, plus kits and yarn value packs unless an offer says otherwise.
Knit Picks' house yarns include Wool of the Andes, Swish, Palette, CotLin, Brava, Comfy, Dishie and High Desert, along with undyed Bare yarn and fiber and a glow-in-the-dark yarn; it also stocks Lion Brand, Berroco, King Cole and Baa Ram Ewe. Yarn can be browsed by weight, from lace to roving, and by fiber, from wool, alpaca, silk, linen, cashmere and mohair to acrylic, nylon and polyester.
Needles come as fixed circulars, interchangeables, double-pointed, straight and Foursquare styles in wood, bamboo, aluminum, stainless steel and nickel-plated metal, with storage made in partnership with della Q. The tool range reaches into embroidery, looms, punch needle, needle felting and spinning wheels, and a learning center covers beginner knitting, charts and a glossary. US and Canadian shops can apply for wholesale accounts.
When shoppers look for Knit Picks coupons
Knit Picks coupon searches peak in November, about 1.8× a typical month, and dip lowest in May.
Does Knit Picks offer free shipping?
Yes. US orders over $75 ship free, but downloadable patterns and eBooks don't count toward that total.
How long does Knit Picks shipping take?
Most orders leave in 2-3 business days; standard then takes 5-7 business days to the contiguous US, expedited 4-5 and express 2.
What is Knit Picks' return policy?
90 days from purchase; change-of-mind returns cost you both return and original shipping, while damaged or wrong items get a full refund.
What payment methods does Knit Picks accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, PayPal, or a check or money order from the US.

How to use a Knit Picks coupon
- At Knit Picks the code goes in the Promo Code box in the Cart, followed by Apply.
- Log in first for a one-time-use code, because those only work on a signed-in account.
- One code fits each order, and it counts against the subtotal before shipping and tax on in-stock items only, so a backordered skein won't be discounted.
- Forgot a valid code?
- Email Customer Service within 48 hours and they can still apply it.
- Yarn of the Month can't be combined with other promotions.
If your Knit Picks code doesn't work
- Minimum order: "25% off $200+ Order" needs an order of at least $200.
- Exclusions: Clearance items, items shipped directly from the manufacturer, MAP-priced items, downloadable items and gift certificates are excluded from promo codes; kits and yarn value packs are excluded unless stated.
- One code per order: Only one promo code per order; Yarn of the Month cannot be combined with other promotions. Codes apply to the subtotal before shipping and tax and to in-stock items only.
- New customers only: 15% off your first order (sign up for emails) does not apply to repeat orders.
- Where to enter it: Enter the code in the Promo Code box in the Cart and click Apply; you must be logged in to use a one-time-use code. A valid code forgotten at checkout can be applied by Customer Service if you email within 48 hours.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at Knit Picks
- Email sign-up brings 15% off your first order, and a banner on the site took 20% off Wool of the Andes yarn.
- Knit Picks says developing its own yarn lines with mills saves up to 50% compared to most retail yarn, so its house lines are where the everyday price gap sits.
- US and Canadian yarn shops can also apply for wholesale accounts.
Knit Picks questions, answered
Can a Knit Picks code be used on kits?
Kits and yarn value packs are excluded from promo codes unless the offer states otherwise. Clearance and MAP-priced items are excluded too.
What if a Knit Picks code was forgotten at checkout?
Email Customer Service within 48 hours, and a valid code can still be applied to the order.
Is there a Knit Picks discount for new customers?
Signing up for emails brings 15% off a first order. That code still follows the one-code-per-order rule and skips excluded items such as clearance.
Does Knit Picks ship to Canada?
Canadian orders ship free over $100 USD and take 5-10 business days.
How quick is Knit Picks express shipping?
Express delivery takes 2 business days within the contiguous US, and most orders leave the warehouse within 2-3 business days.
