About edX

edX sells online courses, professional certificates, executive education and full degree programs from universities and other institutions, plus an edX for Business plan for employers.

Before you use a code, learn the refund clock: certificate-track courses can be refunded within 14 days of payment or of the course start, whichever is later, but never more than 6 months after payment.

edX is an online learning platform run by edX LLC, with a catalogue drawn from more than 250 universities and other partners, including Harvard, MIT, Georgia Tech, Oxford Saïd and LSE, alongside company-made courses from Microsoft, IBM and CodeSignal. Formats range from single courses and Professional Certificates to XSeries, MicroBachelors and MicroMasters programs, executive education, and online bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees, several of them through Maryville University. Harvard's CS50 computer science series is among its better-known titles.

Popular subjects include artificial intelligence, data science, Python, finance and project management. Lectures carry captions, and edX has teamed up with Verizon on the Skills Forward program, which gives participants tuition-free access to its courses. Accounts require learners to be at least 13 years old.
