About Forest Holidays
Forest Holidays rents self-catering log cabins, many with hot tubs, and treehouses at 13 forest locations across England, Scotland and Wales.
Prices are in GBP, and discounts land on the cabin price only, so a code cuts the cost of your stay rather than activities or extras.
Forest Holidays leases the land for its sites from the public forest bodies of England, Scotland and Wales, and the rent it pays goes back into the nations' forests. The company manages that land for conservation, recruits its teams locally, buys food, drink and gifts from nearby suppliers, and reports on its progress in a Positive Impact Report.
Stays come as weekend breaks, midweek breaks, full weeks or combinations, and guests can add extras such as in-cabin food delivery, a personal chef, sauna stays or in-cabin spa treatments. Forest Rangers lead outdoor activities, and bikes can be hired on site. Dogs are welcome in pet-friendly cabins, and the Unfurl Collection includes The Kinwood at Thorpe Forest, a cabin with a bunk nook called The Hide. Bookings can also be made through the Forest Holidays app on iOS and Android.

- Choose 3-night Friday-to-Monday weekends, 4-night Monday-to-Friday midweeks, full weeks or a combination.
- Deposit
- The standard deposit is £100 or 30%, whichever is greater, with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival.
- Spreading the cost
- Interest-free pay monthly covers the deposit plus 2 to 11 payments, and a £20 low deposit is currently offered.
- Cancellation
- You can cancel any time but still owe at least the deposit plus fees and cancellation charges; anything paid above that is refunded.
- Cutting a stay short
- Leaving early earns no refund unless you bought the paid Flexible Amendment option, and missing the balance date forfeits payments.
- Transfers
- Bookings can't pass to another person, so a change of lead guest means cancelling and rebooking.
- Dogs
- Dogs stay in pet-friendly cabins only and must be on a lead around cabins and shared areas.
