About Home Chef

Home Chef delivers weekly meal kits with pre-portioned ingredients and recipe cards, plus oven-ready and family meals, on a flexible subscription from a Kroger company.

Its new-customer offer is spread across five boxes, so the full savings only arrive if you keep ordering past the first delivery.

Home Chef is run by Relish Labs LLC, and its weekly menu offers more than 35 meals plus 18 Extras such as breakfast, lunch, desserts, snacks and drinks. A Customize It tool lets cooks swap in premium proteins on many recipes.

The menu is sorted for different kinds of cooks. Express recipes take 30 minutes or less, Oven-Ready and Fast & Fresh meals need almost no prep, and the Fresh Start badge flags lighter meals that are vegetarian, keto-friendly, gluten-smart, carb-conscious or calorie-conscious. Typical dishes include sirloin steak with bacon demi, Tuscan-style shrimp penne and maple Dijon salmon. Ingredients arrive in an insulated box with step-by-step recipes, and for fully cooked meals the company points customers to its sister service, Tempo.

  1. The new-customer discount attaches when you sign up, before the first box ships, and it's limited to one per household.
  2. It can't be combined with gift cards or other offers, so pick between it and the ID.me heroes discount at sign-up.
  3. ID.me verification comes first for military, teachers, first responders, doctors, nurses and hospital employees.
  4. Choose your meals before the menu closes at 12pm CT each Friday.
  5. Unused box discounts expire 10 weeks after signup, and the offer isn't valid in all states.
