About CandleScience
CandleScience supplies candle, soap and home-fragrance makers with fragrance oils, waxes, wicks, containers, reed diffuser and fine fragrance materials, plus beginner kits.
Before you add a promotion, know the rule: it won't combine with other offers, coupons or markdowns unless it says so, and clearance, bulk and custom orders are left out.
CandleScience began in 2004 as a two-person startup and is based in Durham, North Carolina, with East Coast, Texas and West Coast locations where orders can also be picked up. Fragrance oils can be browsed by season or by use, whether for candles and wax melts, soap and bath products, reed diffusers, room sprays or fine fragrance. The company also makes EcoBase, its own line of fragrance bases, and BlendingElements for scent blending.
Much of the site is teaching material: guides to making candles, soap, diffusers and perfume, a wick guide, a candle batch calculator and advice on labeling fine fragrance products under US rules. A Maker Business Hub gathers education and tools for people selling their own products, and the ScentSociety rewards program earns points on purchases.

Products ordered in the past 60 days qualify, and damaged or defective items get a 100% refund with return shipping paid.
More about shopping at CandleScience
- Warehouses
- Orders ship from, or can be picked up at, East Coast, Texas or West Coast locations, and freight orders are handled separately.
- Change of mind
- You get a refund on remaining sellable product and pay the return shipping; clearance, discontinued, backordered and final-sale items aren't refundable.
- ScentSociety
- Points on every order turn into discounts, with 100 birthday points; Artisan and Luminary tiers add anniversary points and early access.
- Points expiry
- ScentSociety points expire 12 months after your last purchase, so a long gap between candle-making orders wipes them out.
- Promotion exclusions
- Gift cards, e-vouchers, clearance, closeout, bulk/wholesale and custom orders sit outside promotions unless the offer states otherwise.

How to use a CandleScience coupon
- Promotions at CandleScience come with firm terms, so plan the order around one of them.
- A promotion won't combine with another offer, coupon or markdown unless its wording allows it, so pick the deal that saves the most on your cart.
- Bulk buyers should do the math: 10% off 6 or more 5 lb fragrance jugs, or 15% off 12 or more, is a standing discount, and bulk/wholesale orders sit outside other promotions.
- Kits are a separate route, since DIY candle and reed diffuser kits ship free.
- Check your cart before paying, because the ShipSure tier rate shows there.
If your CandleScience code doesn't work
- Exclusions: Promotions exclude gift cards, e-vouchers, clearance, closeout, bulk/wholesale and custom orders unless stated.
- Combining offers: Promotions can't be combined with other offers, discounts, coupons or markdowns unless the offer says so.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at CandleScience
- ScentSociety is the steady saver: every order earns points you redeem for discounts, and 100 points land on your birthday.
- Reaching the Artisan or Luminary tier adds anniversary points and early access.
- CandleScience has run seasonal sales, such as the Fall 1 oz fragrance sale in September and a pumpkin jar sale that started Oct 30, with glass and ceramic pumpkin jars 15% off for a limited time.
- Fragrance flights are 25% off and the Fine Fragrance Sampler is 15% off, a cheaper way to test scents before buying a 5 lb jug.
- First-time customers have had a time-limited $10 off a kit.
