About Go Ape
Go Ape runs outdoor adventures at about 36 UK forest and park sites, from high ropes and zip lines to Forest Segway, axe throwing and archery tag.
You pay per person in GBP, and high ropes prices drop on quieter days and climb at peak times, so the day you book can move the price more than a code.
Go Ape began when Rebecca and Tristram Mayhew saw families climbing through the trees on a trip to France and brought the idea back to Britain, opening the first site in Thetford Forest in 2002. In 2021 the founders moved 90% of the business into employee ownership, so full-time and seasonal staff share in it, and the company supports the Campaign for Adventure and runs the Go Ape Foundation.
Its high ropes come in levels: Treetop Challenge is the original course for ages 10 and up, while Treetop Adventure suits younger climbers over 1m tall, and Nets Adventure suspends giant bouncy nets 30 feet up. Sundown sessions run after dark, and Go Ape hosts school trips, corporate days, youth groups, home education visits, birthday parties and hen or stag groups, with an annual pass for regular visitors.

How to use a Go Ape discount code
- Go Ape's checkout page has a box labelled 'Discount code or Voucher', and gift voucher numbers go into that same box as codes.
- Keep every voucher number to hand before you pick a slot, since several can sit on one booking.
- The Student Beans 10% is the one that stands alone: it can't share a booking with a gift voucher or another offer, so work out which saves more firSt. Book at least 7 days ahead if plans might change.
- Inside that window the money isn't refundable, and within 48 hours of the activity the date can't be moved either.
If your Go Ape code doesn't work
- Combining offers: The student discount cannot be used with other discounts, offers or gift vouchers.

Go Ape questions, answered
Can you get a refund on a Go Ape booking?
Cancelling up to 7 days before the activity returns the price minus the booking fee. From 7 days to 48 hours out, the date can move for £5, but the money stays with Go Ape.
How long do Go Ape gift vouchers last?
Vouchers stay valid for 12 months from purchase and can't be swapped for cash. Vouchers sent by post cost £4.95, second class.
Can a Go Ape annual pass be cancelled?
An annual pass bought online can be cancelled within 14 days for a £5 fee per pass, as long as it hasn't been used. Postage isn't refunded.
Do carers pay at Go Ape?
A carer who doesn't take part goes free. When a supervising adult has to join in, a 10% accessibility discount applies, booked by phone.
How much is a Go Ape school trip?
School trips start from £15 per pupil, and schools get term-time rates.
